Robert is both the Chief Executive Officer
and Senior Actuary for Steinhorn Consulting. He founded Steinhorn
Consulting in 1979 and it has grown to be one of California's leading
retirement plan consulting firms. Over the course of his career, he
has served as an actuary and consultant to thousands of §401(k) and
retirement plans with memberships ranging from one to 15,000
participants. He is also a frequent public speaker on retirement
plan issues.
Robert received a B.A. in mathematics from
the City University of New York and an M.A. in mathematics from Brandeis
University. While in New York City, he sharpened his consulting
skills through his experience as a taxi driver in Manhattan and later as a
member of the mathematics faculty of the City University of New
York. He has also served on the Pension Committee and the Committee
on Pension Accounting of the American Academy of Actuaries.
